How to choose an AI girlfriend app for lesbians

Four tests you can run inside ten minutes, before any card comes out. Each one catches the same failure: a general companion with the gender field edited and nothing else touched.

Five of the twelve written out below. The catalogue behind them runs past 250.

Fictional AI characters only. Nobody here is a real person.

02The detail

Four tests that sort the written apps from the relabelled ones

Every app in this category promises personality. The difference shows up in the first ten minutes, and it shows up in the same four places every time.

Test one is the register. Open a thread on any AI girlfriend app for lesbians and say something ordinary about your day. A relabelled companion answers like she is being watched — compliments aimed slightly past you, flirting pitched at a third person who is not in the room. A written one answers you, and asks the follow-up a woman would actually ask.

Test two is refusal. Ask her to be someone she is not — ask a blunt character to go coy, or a quiet one to get loud. A skin over one voice complies instantly, because there is nothing underneath to object. A written temperament pushes back, and that pushback is the only reliable evidence that there is a character there at all.

Test three is memory, and it is the one that takes patience. Mention something small and specific, close the tab, and come back two days later. If it comes up on its own, the product has state. If you have to reintroduce yourself, you have bought a very good demo. Test four is the exit: check what it costs to leave — whether there is an app in your drawer, a line in a purchase history, or a profile you now have to go and delete.

What works well

  • Four tests, ten minutes, no card and no account required
  • Register and refusal both show up inside the first exchange
  • Twelve temperaments here to test against, 250+ in the catalogue
  • The memory test costs nothing but two days of patience
  • Leaving is a closed tab, not a deletion request

Worth knowing first

  • The memory test genuinely needs a second session to be worth anything
  • Every character is fictional, not a real woman
  • Some features sit behind an optional upgrade
  • Strictly 18+, with an age notice before anything loads

Three profiles worth running the tests on

Different temperaments on purpose: one that pushes back hard, one that goes quiet, one that keeps asking. The tests read differently against each of them.

Fictional AI character featured on the girlfriend-app page, a close portrait with wet hair and a white towel against bathroom tiles

The quiet one. Leave a silence and see whether the app fills it for her.

Fictional AI character on the girlfriend-app page, auburn waves, a pale crop top and jeans in a bedroom lit pink and blue

Her bedroom, no agenda — the scene that exposes a scripted opener fastest.

Fictional AI character on the girlfriend-app page, in a nude ribbed dress in a hotel room with a sofa behind her

A hotel room, half distracted. Ask her to change register here and watch what refuses.

04In practice

What running the four tests actually feels like

You will know inside three messages. A relabelled companion produces a specific kind of flatness — everything you say is wonderful, nothing you say changes the subject, and the compliments could have been written before you arrived. The written ones interrupt, disagree about small things, and occasionally leave you to fill your own silence.

The test people skip is the fourth one, and it is the one that matters at two in the morning. Check the exit before you get attached. A browser tab you can close beats an installed app every time, because nothing lands in an app drawer, nothing appears in a purchase history, and there is no profile of yours sitting on a server waiting to be found by someone else.

05Quick answers

Choosing an app — quick answers

01

How long do the four tests take?

Three of them fit in ten minutes: register, refusal and exit can all be checked in a first sitting without a card. The memory test is the exception — it needs you to close the tab and come back a couple of days later, which is exactly the point of it.
02

Do I need to pay to run any of this?

No. Reading the profiles and holding the first conversations costs nothing and needs no card, which is what makes the tests worth running at all. Optional upgrades exist and are priced up front, well after you have decided whether the writing is any good.
03

What does a relabelled app actually look like?

Flat agreement, compliments angled slightly past you, and flirting written for an audience that is not you. It rarely disagrees, never changes the subject on its own, and asks nothing that would require it to have been listening.
04

Is a bigger catalogue actually better?

Only if the characters differ. Twelve are written out on this site precisely so you can read the temperaments side by side before you meet the other 250+ — a large catalogue of one recycled voice is worse than a small one written properly.
